Hi there...spaying fees will vary from clinic to clinic and regionally as well. Fees will be higher in veterinary clinics as opposed to shelter fees for exotic/pocket pets.Does anyone know general pricing of spraying a female rabbit?
There is no general price, each vet charges what he thinks it is worthDoes anyone know general pricing of spraying a female rabbit?
it depends on where u live.
here in wales, england i had to pay 拢75 for my females spay, but diffrets vets in the same area will charge diffrent prices. so its best to phone around.
It would be similar to that of a cat or small dog I believe...usually $80 - $150 including anesthesia, hospitalization and the surgery. Call around to find someone who specializes in ';pocket pets/exotics'; as not every vet will perform surgery on rabbits.
It depends on the paint type, iridescent is the most expensive...
In my neck of the woods it will cost you $140 - $230 at a vet. This is typical. However if you have a clinic or shelter that does low-cost spay/neuter for rabbits then you may pay as little as $50. This is rare but worth the research to find one.
You MUST have a rabbit vet (small animal/exotics vet) do the surgery - not a regular vet. Even then make sure he has a good track record. Our shelter's vet hates to do it 'cause she's no good with the rabbits and they die too often. :( How sad.
Call a local rabbit rescue and ask them who they use.

What did the chief rabbit do when fiver explained about leaving?

Are you talking about the chief of police or the actual head rabbit? I think the head of the rabbits brushed him off and called him crazy, but the head of the police rabbits helped them escape. What did the chief rabbit do when fiver explained about leaving?
He organized an escape party.

If you were to buy an indoor pet would you prefer rabbit or guinea pig?
Rabbit.....they can be potty trained.
You can put down a litter box for them and they will go in it. I promise.
I would let me loose in the house to run free. But make sure that you pick up all electrical, cable and telephone wires from floor, they love to eat through them.
Guniea pigs cages have to bee cleaned weekly, and make a mess.If you were to buy an indoor pet would you prefer rabbit or guinea pig?
i would prefer a Guinea pig. i had 2 pigs before they are so gentle animals. don't get me wrong Bunny's are sooo cute and nice as well but they dirty their cage so fast with poo and stuff you have to change it about every three days...where as with the Guinea pigs you only have to change the cage every 2 weeks. they are also not high maintenance. Bunny's always need attention or they well start to bite people and run around in the cage. your so much better off with a Guinea pig in my opinion. lol :)If you were to buy an indoor pet would you prefer rabbit or guinea pig?
Rabbits can be potty trained, and their glands cleaned to prevent them from smelling bad.
Guinea pigs stink and soil their bedding really fast specially if you give them fruit or veggie treat, or if they drink a lot of water.
Rabbits won't bite if you care for them nicely since a young age, but they do have to be handled a lot.
I would buy a rabbit because they can be potty trained and they are easier to take care of. I had a guinea pig once and her bottom always got messy and dirty. If you get a guinea pig, though, make sure its a short haired. They are ALOT easier to take care of!
i'd get a rabbit, as others have mentioned they can be toilet trained. also you could put a rabbit on a rabbit harness and take it for a walk in the garden.
Guinea pigs are a lot tamer and I just all around prefer them! But I love rabbits too! I guess it really depends how much time you want to spend with them because rabbits need exercise!
guinea pig.
Rabbits require alot of care and attention and thier cages get real smelly.
guinea pig... rabbits aren't meant to be indoors and they're very skittish and smelly
NEITHER They Both Small Really Bad!!!!!!

Would it be ok if you put a diaper on a rabbit?
Like a diaper so it won't go all over the place...or will it tear it off?
Im also looking for an dwarf rabbit breeder anyone know of any in Hanford,CA?Would it be ok if you put a diaper on a rabbit?
No you can not put a diaper on a rabbit. It will tear it off and ingest it, and the stuff that diaper companies put in there to absorb urine is toxic when eaten. Rabbits can be litter trained like a cat with patience, persistance, and spaying or neutering. My four do not ever have accidents outside of their box. Information on litter training is here: http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/litte鈥?/a>
Since it sounds like you are a first-time rabbit owner, you may want to rethink your choice of breed. Netherland dwarfs (along with other especially small breeds), tend to be skittish, fearful, and are often biters. Many would prefer not to interact with humans at all. In general, the larger the rabbit, the more gentle and more likely to be social. Instead of a breeder, you may want to think about adopting from a local shelter or rescue. Most will spay or neuter the rabbit before adoption, have them vet checked, etc. for a very affordable price! Our local shelter has them microchipped, altered, vet checked, and provides a certificate for a free checkup at the local exotics vet, all for $45. Since spaying or neutering can cost $70-$300+, that's a great deal! Here is a link to Petfinder: http://www.petfinder.com/search/search.c鈥?/a> Not every shelter lists their animals on petfinder, so also check out shelters in your local phone book and call them as well.Would it be ok if you put a diaper on a rabbit?
No, it is definitely NOT okay to put a diaper on a rabbit. It will probably cause them to get a lower intestine infection from feces getting stuck to their rear end, which will cost you hundreds of dollars in vet visits to remedy. My rabbit had one (from my roommate improperly cleaning her cage while I was on vacation) and it's really not pleasant to deal with.
Rabbits can be litter box trained very easily as it is natural for them to defecate in one spot. Here is a link with some FAQs on litter training for rabbits:
http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/litte鈥?/a>
And why don't you try and find a rabbit shelter instead? There are plenty of dwarfs and other rabbits that get dumped in shelters. Look here: http://shelters.theanimalnet.com/Califor鈥?/a>
did you seriously just ask that question?? a rabbit cant wear a diaper, its not human, you might be able to potty train it but its just cruel to have a rabbit wear a diaper just like its cruel to hace dogs wear clothes!
well what idf you were the bunny? would you want a diaper on youu???;] ha and besides the bunny may or may not gety a diaper rash.;[ and that can be harful to anything living really.
no. rabbits are not meant to wear diapers its better if you buy it a sand box and try to train it rather than having it wear an annoying diaper which it will prob tear off anyways.
No. That is very strange. Maybe you see doctor tomorrow.
Questions like these make me want to cry...
Ofc not. They're not dolls/humans.
no i would maybe tare it of.

What toys can my rabbit have?
has anyone got any suggestions for me, my rabbit is getting a little bored but i havnt got enough money to keep buying different toys, is there anything i can do to entertain him? What toys can my rabbit have?
They are such distructive little guys aren't they? :) My rabbit loves to play with old containers that I fill with corn kernels/her food to make rattle. Soda bottles work well.
Old books work, but make sure the ink is safe. Hay stuffed in a box(cereal) for them to chew. Paper towel roles. Rolled oat boxes(ends cut off). Paper bags(cut end off). Plastic lids from laundry detergent(make sure to rinse well)
Just be sure to check to make sure that all the toys are large enough, not broken, cannot be swollowed. What toys can my rabbit have?
There is a list of homemade toys online, that will save you some money and keep your rabbit entertained. You can find that list at: http://www.rabbitnetwork.org/articles/to鈥?/a>
a binky, a cat toy that rolls n has small Peg, n a bell in it. lid 2 milk jug. anything that is lit enough 2 toss,n won't break or swallow.my rabbit likes all of these my my kid dolly toys too. if u put ur hand out after he picks it up he'll put it in ur hand. they like little tents 2.
Give it a piece of untreated wood and a paper towel roll and it will be happy
Yes, if the normal toys don't work, be sure to take them out on a regular basis, and sit them in your lap and just stroke them. Rabbits love attention just as much as cats and dogs. Stroke the ears, the back, and right behind the head. If you're lucky, you might even be able to teach them it is safe to be rolled on their back to stroke the belly, and feet! Also, having another rabbit (in the case of females) in the same cage or pen will also help cut down on lonliness. Rabbits can play together just like they can with their human owners.
Umm, I guess you could take a stick of carrot or something and lure your rabbit around until it reaches it and bits it or you give it to them.....
Im not sure rabbits play for say... since I cant recall toys being advertised to rabbits.. however I know they have those colored sticks which are flavord adn all that.. Usually they sell things for the rabbit to eat, usually hard sticks like I mentioned because it 2-fold..its amusing and good to them..and also is food for their teeth, it will file them down and also keep the teeth strong adn healthy... a dentist stick hehecartridge

What breed is my rabbit do you suppose?
http://s152.photobucket.com/albums/s177/Bobobejobo/?action=view%26amp;current=0309091518a.jpg
this is a picture of it.
Any ideas?
I know it's just a baby, but maybe someone could narrow it down a little.
I know it's not a lop. But what could it be?What breed is my rabbit do you suppose?
Depends on where you purchased the rabbit from. Did you get it from a pet store? if so then it is most likely a Dutch crossed with something else. Pet stores seldom sell purebreed rabbits. If you got it from a responsible breeder you would already know what breed it is beacuse it would be on the pedigree and the breeder would have told you the breed.
It does have the coloring and pattern of a Dutch but is most likely a mix.
Just Google Dutch rabbit for more info. What breed is my rabbit do you suppose?
First of.. YOUR BUNNY IS ADORABLE! :D
heh.
and second of all. I most likely think its a Dutch. The marking portray a Dutch.

I think its a dutch or a dutch mix. Most dutches have those same markings and they usually get about 3.5 to 5.5 pounds, which makes them a smallish rabbit.
its quite obvious its a dutch . only dutches have those fur which are perfectly parted by two different colours in the middle of the body :D
adorable one it is .
Looks like a dutch or a dutch X- certainly has the markings!
Adorable!! And I'm pretty sure its a Dutch.......
=)
This is definatly a Dutch. I breed them for part of my living.

Question for the ladies: Where do you hide your pet rabbit to avoid embarrassing situations?
My actual pet rabbits with fur %26amp; long ears don't cause embarrassment.
My vibrator, on the other hand, stays in my bedside table.Question for the ladies: Where do you hide your pet rabbit to avoid embarrassing situations?
I'll tell you where not to hide it...
Behind the couch pillows! I was over my best friend's house with my boyfriend, and he was playing video games with her boyfriend and asked me to toss him a pillow... I grabbed one off the couch to toss to him and found her ';friend'; underneath it... Luckily only me and her saw, and it was followed by hysterical laughter and confused looks as to why we were laughing by the guys....Question for the ladies: Where do you hide your pet rabbit to avoid embarrassing situations?
That reminds me of the time when my niece ran out of my sister's bedroom with her dildo in her hand waving it for all our guests to see. It was the day of our brother's funeral and ALL our family members were there. People we didn't even know were there. My mom was super PISSED at my sister.
This was back in 2003 so if I ever get toys (which I know I won't) I'd have to hide them really well. It just avoids nasty situations like that.
I have some by my bed, and the other stuff in my sex cupboard, which houses dress up outfits, boots and shoes, toys and porn. Im not embarrassed by it, but I dont tend to let people in my room, its my own private space (except fiance of course)
I don't own one (call me lucky but the bf actually does it for me) but if I did, I'd get one of those ';passion pillows'; with the secret compartment in it to keep my personal toys safe from prying eyes.
Are you talking about a vibrator called a rabbit? I don't have one. I save myself up for the real thing. Are we all supposed to have sex toys then?
wrapped in an old pillowcase, tucked down under old blankets no one uses, in the very bottom and back corner of an old wardrobe.
Why hide it?
If you are an adult woman - you have every right to own and enjoy some sexual toys.
back of my panties drawer...im not embarrassed by it though, as me and my partner share the panties drawer!!
I keep my vibrator in my bedside dresser thing with my panties
I loved WhatWhat's answer.
Don't hide it - be proud you have a healthy sex drive.
wish i had one...if i did ...probably keep it in the ole knicker drawer...not bothered if its found could be fun!!!!
lock them in the basement
between my mattress
