My rabbit has some strange new type of fur growing in patches on her head and back!!?

Is this normal?? she had a small patch above her nose for a few weeks and i thought, oh it was probably always there but now its spread!! Its thicker, shorter and darker.My rabbit has some strange new type of fur growing in patches on her head and back!!?
Just sounds like your rabbit is getting it's winter coat in. the new fur usually pushes out the old fur you shouldn't see any bald patches, at least that's what happens to my rabbit .If there is any bald patches I would suggest you take her to a vet to be checked out. Sounds like her Winter coat. Even indoor rabbits can get a winter coat.


This is perfectly normal. Or if she's young(under 1 year old) then this is her Adult coat coming through. Either cases its what should happen.

is it an outdoor rabbit? is it a hard fun or a pretty soft fur?? if its and outdoor rabbit and it's growing new soft fur... it is normal and its just getting ready for the colder weather and growing new thick fur over its body
