My rabbit has just been neutered and seems very depressed - not eating and moving much?

My rabbit has been neutered earlier today and he was fine, very lively and eating a lot straight after the op. However it's been about 10 hrs now and he's a bit cold, not moving and eating much and seems quite tired. We gave him some of the recovery food which he ate a bit of. Is this normal for bunnies, should we call the vet or leave him inside and wait? (he's usually in a hutch in the garage).

Thanks! :)My rabbit has just been neutered and seems very depressed - not eating and moving much?
theyre not used to the change.. jsut give them time

if theyre not better in about 1-2 days go to the vet

i think theyre fineMy rabbit has just been neutered and seems very depressed - not eating and moving much?
While I would normally say that it's just residual effects of the anesthetic, the temperature drop worries me. A rabbit that's got hypothermia is a rabbit that needs help asap! Please call your vet right away. It doesn't cost anything just to phone.

It's also weird that he developed the symptoms after apparently recovering well. Again, please please call your vet to be safe!

Good luck!
When i got my bunny neutered it took him about 2 days to get back to his usual self. He was quite cold also and didn't eat anything until the next day. He didn't do the toilet either until the next day. They'll all react differently to the op, I would keep an eye on him and if he gets worse i'd get in touch with the vet. Good luck and i hope he's ok x
Call your vet and inquire if this is normal. Maybe he's tired out from the anesthesia? I don't know but whenever in doubt ask the vet!
