What are the essentials for caring for a pet rabbit ?

-a cage (duh)

-rabbit pellets (u can get them really cheap @ Fleet Farm if u buy the huge bags)

-hay (not alfalfa)

-vegetables

-bedding (not cedar)

-water bottle

-food dish

-toys (they sometimes like to push around jingle balls or play with you pushing it back and forth)

-a vet who knows about rabbits

Oh, by the way, rabbits don't need vaccines, and females tend to be nicer, especially spayed. What are the essentials for caring for a pet rabbit ?
I have a pet rabbit and they are a lot harder to care for than anyone would think. If you are getting a male make sure you neuter him or he will become mean and territorial. You can also litter train your rabbit, but make sure you clean his or her cage litter or no litter. I give my rabbit for main meals, rabbit food(just pellet food, the other types can be bad for them), some timothy hay, and of course fresh water. I give him some ice burg lettuce (normal lettuce can be bad for them) and a carrot in the morning. In the afternoon I give him some iceburg lettuce and 2 grapes. All this stuff will give you a healthy and happy rabbit. What are the essentials for caring for a pet rabbit ?
