Litterbox training a rabbit successfully?

I was wondering if it was possible to litterbox train a rabbit enough to let it have full run of the house? I don't have much experience with rabbits and I was just wondering if this was possible.

Thanks!Litterbox training a rabbit successfully?
Yes, if you alter the rabbit and put a little time into training. Mine never urinate out of the box and only occasionally leave a pellet here and there that is easily swept up (and I have multiple rabbits which makes territorial marking more likely). There are good litter training tips here: http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/litte鈥?/a> It is vital to use a large box that the whole rabbit fits in, with high sides so they can't accidentally hang their bums over the edge, and to slowly offer freedom in small increments. You may need to place several boxes in the house so that they have one handy anywhere they are. The other thing you have to consider when offering a rabbit full run of the house is chewing. You need to make sure and bunny proof any areas they have access to 100%. Wooden items and electrical cords are usually the most commonly targeted items. Yes it is possible. I have one male rabbit and was very easy to potty train him. Every time he sat still (when rabbits sit still and against the wall or in a corner means they are going to have a accident) I would pick him up and put him right back into his cage. Now most rabbits do not like to pee in their own cage were they sleep and such. So he would go right into his potty and go. If your rabbit does have an accident you would probably want to put him back in his cage and do not pet him when you put him in because the rabbit will think your praising him/her. They usually learn pretty quick but it depends on what kind of rabbit you have.

Our rabbit is litter trained in his hutch but not in the house... I think it's just too big for him to remember where his tray is. With his hutch we just noticed that he went in the same spot so we put a tray there, when we tried the same thing inside it didn't work... so he still has little accidents inside occasionally. The little poos aren't too bad but rabbit wee really smell strongly!!! I would suggest confining the space that the rabbit is in to one or two rooms so if he does have any accidents it's not too big a drama.
ya it should
