What do i need for a rabbit?

Just want to check I've got everything...What do i need for a rabbit?
You need a large cage for it (most pet store's cages are too small, so get the largest one possible). Also, make sure you get a litter box (yes they can be litter trained) and some bedding but not pine or cedar, those can be harmful, carefresh or aspen is much better and will not harm them.

Also, be sure to get pellets without little colored pieces, Those extra pieces are treats, and should not be given in the food. Obviously, you will also need a food bowl, and water bottle.

Additionally, be sure to get timothy hay, as this is extremely important, and more necessary than the pellets. They need it for both teeth and digestion. And get some fresh fruit and vegetables, but be very careful which. Rabbits cannot eat iceberg lettuce, and carrots should be fed sparingly, as they contain a lot of sugar (for a rabbit).

Last, a small home to hide in would be nice, but is not necessary.

Oh, and you also need some wood chew, avoid the colored ones as the dyes could be unhealthy for them. And look for a vet who specializes in exotics, because vets mostly learn about dogs and cats unless they specialize.

Have fun with your new friend. What do i need for a rabbit?
we have a giant house rabbit, so don't presume the bunny should be outside only. If you chose to keep bunny indoors, make sure you get a rabbit litter tray %26amp; sawdust - pet stores do a lovely line in fragranced sawdust that keeps your house fresh. if bunny is outside make sure he has a secure hutch and the largest run you can find. I would also recommend a bowl for water as the bottles can get stuck up. Oh and lots of time to play with bunny..remember they are very social creatures who live in communities in the wild so please don't condem bunny to a lonely life - my bunny loves teddies - they are her ';family';.
If it is an indoor rabbit

Cage - I suggest a puppy play pen since it will give sufficient play area when you are not around and won't be crammed in a small cage. All 'rabbit' cages are too small

Food and Water Bowl

Quality rabbit food (Oxbow, Zupreem, American pet diner)

Hay

Litterbox

Litter (No wood shavings pine or cedar) - I use Wood stove pellets

Toys

Cardboard boxes - They are a rabbits favorite thing in the world lol

Nail Clippers

Chew toys (willow, yucca, apple wood, etc)

Vet fund

Those are the basics I also suggest a bunny first aid kit

and lots of research

You need:

A hutch(for indoors),

a large cage for indoors,

a water bottle(not a plastic one humans drink out of, a rabbit one that you can get from local pet shops.),

A food bowl(again not a human one, you can also get one from pet shops),

you need to clean his bedding out on a regular basis aswell,

Stuff like tubes or wooden blocks are good for them to be entertained, and a little run that they can go in, in the summer! :) heres a good sized run: http://www.petsathome.com/find/category-鈥?/a>
Well you need a medium size cage so they can hop around, water bottle, food bowl, food, maybe even a lease, maybe a little toy or something, bedding if shes inside, maybe something for her to chew on cause they love to chew on stuff so maybe you should get one so she dosent decide to chew on your finger or clothes. umm i cant think of anything else at the moment. i hope i helped some. good luck.
lol. depends what u mean, if pet, hutch, hay, water container, lots of food, leash! (i had one for mine wen i was younger) make a deal with ur local fruit veg store to take al the old veg they r goin to throw out, they love cabbage leaves.
